As shown in the image, a set of 3D-printed SLA resin parts has been completed.
Although the parts are ultimately planned to be manufactured from aluminum alloy, the design and angles still require further testing.
Therefore, the client requested a set of 3D-printed prototypes to verify the design, shape, and actual performance of the parts before proceeding with aluminum alloy production.
After reviewing the client’s requirements, CEX Casting recommended using SLA resin for the prototypes based on the part’s structure and intended use.
Upon receiving the client’s approval, CEX Casting coordinated with a long-term partner to complete the printing on schedule.
The corresponding holes were reserved during printing, and nuts were embedded before shipment, providing the client with a physical reference for subsequent testing and design adjustments.
Once the client validates the design, CEX Casting will evaluate the appropriate aluminum alloy production process based on the finalized design, specifications, and required volume.
Generally, moving directly to full-scale production for parts still in the design validation phase is not an ideal approach.
Creating prototypes via 3D printing is a suitable approach at this stage, as it significantly reduces the costs associated with trial and error.
CEX Casting manages the initial consultation and prototype production coordination, and handles the subsequent aluminum alloy manufacturing, helping the client move from prototype validation to final production.
